I'm Ayesha, a Data Scientist at YouGov, based in Mumbai. I work at the intersection of survey methodology, statistical analysis, and engineering. I build the systems that keep multi-market panel data honest.
Most of what I do lives in R, SQL, and Snowflake. End-to-end pipelines, automated reporting frameworks, and the unglamorous-but-essential work of catching anomalies and fraud before they corrupt downstream analysis.
What I care about: reproducibility and clean code. A model is only as good as the data feeding it, and the data is only trustworthy if the pipeline behind it is.
Contributed to an internal R package that standardises survey quality monitoring across the team. Focused on making outputs reproducible, modular, and easy to extend, so analysts spend time on insight, not boilerplate.
Built the pipelines and dashboards that track joiner trends and detect anomalies across YouGov's panel data globally. Migrated parts of the workflow from SQL to R to make it more scalable and easier to maintain.
Developed and refined the detection logic for identifying suspicious panelists and referral fraud patterns. Contributed to the team's Fraud Check Guide and transitioned legacy queries to Snowflake for better performance.
Built Power BI dashboards for monitoring KPIs and fraud trends across the US, UK, DE, and AU markets, giving researchers and stakeholders a clear view of data health at a glance.
